cislyn: (one of *those* days)

I'm in a bad, bad mood right now. Today hasn't been bad in and of itself - every little thing is just grating on me, unfortunately. I'm sure most of the problem is lack of sleep. And I can chalk up lack of sleep to my own stupid self. You see, yesterday I had a piece of gum. Shocking, no? I just didn't check first to see if it had aspartame in it, because, well, I'm a doof. And it did. I managed to cut the migraine off at the pass by caffeinating it to death, but I rather feel like I caffeinated myself to death, too. I was jittery (exhausted, mind you, but jittery) all night long.

Things to do: find out more about Todd's shiny health insurance so we can see about getting me a prescription for imitrex.

I just picked up the cats from the vet. I let them out of the carriers... they sniffed around a little... and Trouble attacked Stranger. ~sighs~ I'm a little frustrated with him right now. The vet says he probably wasn't socialized when he was a kitten, plus he was having to fend for himself. This constant leap-on-Stranger-and-bite behavior has got to stop, though. I just don't know what to do about it. I mean, I could just let them duke it out until Trouble gets a clue, but that plan involves Stranger being harrassed until clueless Trouble wises up, and frankly I'm not sure that's going to happen. Anyone want a very healthy (now) kitten? :/

In other news, this link has been all over my friends page today, but it's still worth passing on. New discoveries in classics always make me a happy girl. Well, happier anyway.

Also, I got a flash media reader/writer thingy from compUSA for twenty bucks or so, and it is super spiffy keen. Much much much faster than using that horrible camedia master software. It's rather a shame that a) most of the pictures from the weekend turned out inexplicably green and b) I don't know how to fix them. Any photoshop pros out there?

I want chocolate, a hug, a good night's sleep, for my kitties to get along, a million dollars, direction to go with my ambition, more chocolate, a shopping cart full of books, shelves for those books, a nice house to put the shelves in, a stuffed anubis, roller skates, a tree fort, strawberry lip gloss, thunderstorms, for the apartment to clean itself, spiffy email, a better memory, inspiration, to know what happened to my other frog earring, whirled peas, world peace, to snap out of this whiny mood, lots of lofty unattainable things, super cool puzzle boxes, instant weight loss (typical, eh?), pause and rewind buttons for the universe, a backrub, red hair, a portable hole, and a good way to end this list of greediness.

What do you want?

i'm so with you, on so many things, and apparently also with migraines. per the latest doc, the headaches i have are migraines even though they miss most of the typical symptoms. i am trying migraine medication A, and i'm a bit spacy, but i'm not sure if that is the headache or not. hmm... tomorrow we try medication B - if the headache comes back and i dare taking it on a day i have an interview.

i'm sorry, this is more an 'all about me' reply that probably really should be a posty of it's own. i think i'll go downstairs, find a cookie and try to chill before picking up the little one.

That's a nifty link. Also, Oxyrhynchus is now the name of an uberwyrm in Gorendar. ;)

What do you want?

* Really long arms .) (but retractable, because they might be a little annoying for everyday use)

* Pause/rewind remote for the universe. And while we're at it, fast-forward, too, so if someone really boring is talking... vrooooom!

* A shiny button that I can press to make Cislyn un-grumpy

* Free long-distance that doesn't involve me repeating everything 4 times ["Can you hear me now?" "CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?"] Truth in advertising, baybeh. Truth in advertising.
