Roman Glass explains some history behind glassblowing, particularly in the Roman empire. I found it an interesting read. I studied Roman glassware a little in my class on Augustus and the early empire (back in the day). I find it fascinating that objects which are so fragile manage to last so long, and we can learn so very much about them.

The Hymn-Project converts iTunes protected files to non-protected music files, with the use of your iTunes store ID and password. It's open source, easy to use, and a pretty cool idea, in my opinion. I love iTunes, but hate that they don't respect fair-use copyright stuff. I bought the music, dammit.

Escher Web Sketch. Did I post about this before? If not, why not? I think it's a fun little toy, for any fan of repeating patterns of an Escherlike ilk.

That's all for now.

Your title of 'random' lead to me reading the "Roman glass" as "Random Glass." *giggle* I don't know why, but this struck me as absurd, and I am in the midst of a gigglefit now.

Thank you, I needed that!

I've never seen Apple's copy protections as restrictive. Five machines registered to the same account, and an unlimited number of iPods. Of course, should I ever want to expand them farther, I always burn everything I buy to audio CD, so can just rerip them then.

Thanks for the link on the Roman Glass stuff... useful for me actually in some of the research on my gaming projects.
