or: why nothing ever changes, despite my best intentions.

I used to do a lot of work on my website. No, really, I did. It doesn't look like much, but there's a lot of material there. I poured gobs of freetime (which was more readily available in those days) into it, and I enjoyed working on it immensely. These days, though, I just can't seem to find the right mind set to actually do anything with it.

I had fun creating it, but after the initial (several years long) rush of putting up material and coming up with nifty little features (like VoidCam, for instance), it just plain doesn't seem that cool to me any more. I don't know why, exactly. I wish I knew. I'd really like to do more with it... what more, I don't know. Finish some loose end projects still hanging in the back wings, maybe do a redesign and make it look spiffier... something. :/

I keep looking for the one neat big project which will engage my interest again, and I'm just not finding it. I have no idea what to do with it, no idea what new content to put up (and a little negative voice in the back of my head says "why bother with anything? Anything you can put up has likely already been done by someone else, and done better."), no idea at all. I'm all idea-ed out. Anybody got any spare ideas lying around?

I saw this in [livejournal.com profile] ijk's journal, and thought it a fine question to ask.

How did you find me?

So, how did you find me? Something must have happened to have you find this LJ and to start reading it, and I would like to know what. How did you get to this place? Maybe I found you first and you added me back?

Just reply with how you found my LJ and then post this in your journal to see where your readers came from.
