gift certificate dilemma
Dec. 17th, 2004 10:23 amWhy is it that when I'm spending my own money on a site like amazon, I can easily decide "yeah, that's what I want right now! Gimme!" but when I have a gift certificate it's suddenly so much harder to figure things out? I don't want to get things off my wish list, because 'tis the season and all that jazz, so that rules out those things, and I know I want a book (or two, or three) but which ones? Or maybe a dvd, or some music... gah!
Perhaps I'm thinking deep down that what I buy ought to somehow reflect the gift certificate giver, and so I'm thinking of Todd's mom while I'm browsing and trying to decide what to get.
You know, I really do think I make things too complicated some times.
In the works: "toes" and "rain" entries for memory muse, my paltry findings on ancient birthday celebrations, (more) randomalia, game notes for Todd because it's totally my turn and I need to contemplate some complicated things, and um... well, that's more than enough for now. I hope I actually get a chance to write on these things, but work is calling.
